Buddhism Gestures

My grandma is a deep believer in Buddism. Growing up I would listen to her shocking stories and the prayer chanting. And she brought me to the temples to experience a simple life in the mountains where there is neither cell phone nor other recreational devices, only human interaction, and nature. Now, I am in America. I miss the life in which I could go hiking in the mountain and pick up mushrooms after a spring rain.

Buddhism to me is more of a lifestyle, rather than a religion.

This print is inspired by a trip to Rodin Museum with my good friend.

Linocut. 2021 June 18. Buddhism Gestures. Xiya Wang

Up: Granting Wishes and Blessings.

Left: Tantric Unity: a symbol of bringing together two aspects of enlightenment, wisdom, and method.
